For your Mom:
In Kindergarten Mom pretended your stick figures were a work of art and later in high school she read your English essay as if it were one of the great classics. Moms just plain love anything you craft yourself so why stop now? Make your dear Mom a Red Wine Bundt Cake that is deliciously flavored with her favorite red wine. The recipe calls for one cup of red wine so there will be plenty leftover to sip on while the cake is baking, BONUS!
Let’s face it all us Moms are busy so this isn’t totally homemade but it was made at home! This Bundt cake is made with the help of the Dough Boy! Laurie used the Pillsbury Moist Supreme Golden Butter Recipe box mix following the directions exactly except substitute 1 cup of your favorite red wine instead of water. Then to top things off create a red wine drizzle by melting 2 Tbsp of butter in 1/2 cup of red wine over medium heat. Add 1 cup sifted powdered sugar and 1/2 tsp vanilla until integrated and reduce to desired thickness. Pour all over the cake and serve.
For your Mother-in-law:
Whether your Mother-in-law is like a second mother or your toughest critic—her heart will definitely melt when you give her this gift of Brix Chocolate that is specifically blended to compliment her favorite wine. The gift set includes all 4 varieties of chocolate including milk, smooth dark, medium dark and extra dark along with wine pairings—it’s a party in a box! If that doesn’t convince her you are good enough for her son–nothing will.
Laurie recommends a bottle of delicious Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon with the BRIX Extra Dark Chocolate to win over any Mom!
