04 Nov California Sangiovese
So glad I got the mail today! My shipment from the CA Wine Club came with two wines from Pietra Santa Winery in the Cienega Valley of California. A deliciously crisp Chardonnay and a new world version of Sangiovese–the main red grape of Tuscany.
After tasting both wines and filling out my Tasting Scorecard, I had them with a meal of pork chops and sauteed potatoes. Which was the winner? Both wines went beautifully with the food! Because they are so food friendly these wines would also be a great pairing for the traditional Thanksgiving feast too…
