Sips of the Week
Pair with Ham: Mas Redonne Bandol, Provence, France $20.00
Winemaker’s Notes: Nice light salmon color, typical of Bandol. The wine expresses some citrus, Pomelos (a delicious type of grapefruit) and lots of white fruit aromas and minerality. The flavors are fresh, fruity and very aromatic with tons of Apricot and Mango. This Rose is a blend of 55% Mourvèdre, 35% Cinsault, 10% Grenache.
Pair with Lamb: Fritz Dry Creek Zinfandel 2010, Sonoma, California $19.99
Winemaker’s Notes: Our 2010 Estate Zinfandel is handcrafted from 30 year old vines grown on the valley floor of our Estate, a 5 acre site that produces wines that are rich in color and flavor. In this garnet hued wine, look for aromas of blackberry, black and red cherry, wild berry, anise, and subtle dusty earth tones. It is a well structured Zin with a balanced mouth feel and elegant tannins. Flavors of blackberry, black and red cherry, red licorice, carry through to it’s delightful finish.
